State-Of-The-Art Demonstration Room 1 October 2007

With a receptive ear to customer needs and mindful of the growth in service industries such as foods, pharmaceuticals and distribution, Conveyor Units, Europe’s leading trade supplier, has spent over 12 months developing and expanding their scope of supply to provide system designers with an extensive and versatile range of product to accommodate these demands.

The results of their labours are now very evident in their newly refurbished and extended Exhibition and Demonstration Rooms which now total some 400 square metres of space and includes a fully automated circuit which features not only their renowned UNI-XU powered roller lineshaft conveyors, but a full range of highly competitive stainless steel lineshaft and belt conveyors which compliment this series of equipment. A pallet conveyor system which incorporates an innovative drive principal and includes transfers, shuttle cars, accumulation conveyor and transportation chain conveyors is also shown as a working demonstration.

Pack Turn and Turn Over Units are offered for individual product movement in both vertical and horizontal plains and can be simply modified to suit specific requirements. Whilst a new specialised cascading accumulation system highlights the power saving potential and reliability of individually powered rollers. A very effective, high speed switch sorter accommodates the industry's growing trend towards higher throughputs.

Conveyor Units has made this a ‘hands-on, walk-around’ circuit where units can be individually controlled via the various control panels to stop, start, accumulate and merge at will. Clear plastic fascias allow visual inspection and easy explanation of the more unique driving principals and offers a versatile opportunity to demonstrate to suppliers and their end users, Conveyor Units quality of finish and 40 years of engineering experience.
